What should I expect?

A registered practitioner will arrive at your location at your booked time.  Sessions are approximately 1 hour and include a consultation.  Tongue and pulse diagnosis are part of Traditional Chinese Medicine so your acupuncturist may ask to see your tongue.   

 

How many sessions will I need?

Acute conditions may only take 1-3 sessions.  Chronic conditions usually require a series of sessions.  Depending on your health condition it can take 4-8 treatments to start seeing results, so we generally recommend purchasing a package for savings.   

Please speak with us so we can discuss your health concerns and give you a better estimate. 

 

Can I request a specific practitioner?

Yes, however each practitioner covers specific areas.  Please let us know your request and we will let you know if we can accommodate. 

During your initial phone call with us, we also briefly discuss your health concerns so we can match you with the best suited practitioner for your needs.

 

Will I continue with the same practitioner?

Yes, for consistency in care, we generally recommend continuing with the same practitioner.  However, if you feel the practitioner you were matched with is not the right fit, please let us know and we will do our best to find you a better suited match!

If your practitioner takes time off or scheduling does not align, we are happy to send another qualified practitioner to fill in. 

 

Can I book online?

Availability is based on your specific location, so unfortunately we do not offer online booking at this time.  Please call, email, or text us and we can find a suitable time. 

 

How are follow-up sessions booked?

You can book your next appointment directly with your practitioner while they are with you.  Please note, there may be a slight delay in receiving your booking notification as practitioners often need to go to their next housecall before having a chance to put your appointment in the system.    

You can also call, email, or text us for your next appointment.

 

How does payment work? 

You do not need to pay until after your treatment.  We email you an invoice, where you can pay via credit card link or e-transfer.  Alternatively, we can also keep your credit card number on file if you wish, and automatically charge you after your treatments. 

If you have extended health benefits and would like us to direct bill, we will do so on the day of the treatment.  Any outstanding amount that is not covered by insurance will be shown on your emailed invoice.
